Displaysearch contracted us to reskin all of their international sites to be consistent with their corpoarate site branding. I did four static sites: China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. They provided the content and the design comps and I wrote all of the markup and inserted all of the content. I also integrated two, thrid party, registration forms for event registration.

This project was very difficult and required a high degree of precision and organization. I don't speak or read any of the languages that we were entering content in for, so we had to have very detailed mappings for the content translations. Headings, menus, title pages, etc, all had to match their context pages and there was no way to assertain whether the content was complete or correct other than checking with the client.

I also integrated a Yahoo Pipes RSS feed on each of the four homepages so that each region could display aggregated RSS feeds and maintain them. Another challanging design requirement was that the client would be taking over the maintenance of the site once we finished with the intial redesign. I used a lot of includes and many inline comments to help with the transfer of knowledge and to reduce the learning curve of thoose who would be doing the content entry.
